Today’s re- encounter and the memories of the past

Today I re-encountered a woman.

Someone I hadn’t seen in years.

She’s a friend of my mother, we were talking and I was happy to see her I was taken by the fact that it seemed like the years hadn’t gone by her as she looked exactly as I remembered her about 5 or more years ago , and I was even more surprised when she mentioned that she’s turned 46. I couldn’t help myself and complimented her. While I was doing it I also mentioned that her husband must be doing a great job looking after her .... and treating her right . That’s when her smile mixed with a change of facial expression ringed a bell in my brain section of memories about a weird , actually bizarre episode I had with her and her husband came to the surface.
